Meet Tanuki - your next adventure buddy!

Tanuki is a gorgeous girl who’s looking for her forever home after being returned to us as she wasn’t getting along with other dogs in the home. Originally rescued in 2023 she’s now back in our care - and our team of volunteers have fallen in love with her.

Tanuki is a spirited explorer who adores long walks, sniffing out new scents, and taking in the world around her. She enjoys walks alongside her kennel buddy Logan and is calm around other dogs she sees on her outings. While she’d prefer to be the only dog in the home, she could share a home with the right dog and loves walks with her friends.

She is currently working on her confidence with the harness, slip lead and traffic. She’s making great progress. Her training will need to be continued in her new home, but she’s clever, food-motivated (pate is her favourite!) and eager to learn.

Tanuki would thrive in a rural or semi-rural setting where she can enjoy the peaceful walks and plenty of space to explore. She could live with dog-savvy children aged 12 and up.
