Sponsor a Lucky’s Dog

Make a difference

A pawfect gift for any occasion

An amazing gift for you and the dog you sponsor!

From just £20.00

Why sponsor?

Sponsoring a dog is quite possibly one of the kindest things you can do for our dogs, who prior to being taken on at our shelter, have never had anyone looking out for them before - but now they have you, their sponsor.

When you sponsor a Lucky’s dog, you are helping to pay for the food, vet bills and daily care of one of our Romanian rescues, until they are lucky enough to find their perfect forever home.

What do Sponsor’s receive?

As a sponsor, you will receive monthly updates on your chosen dog! The updates will include pictures and information on how they’ve been getting on at the shelter. You will also be the first to hear about their progress and when they are matched to a family or moving on to a foster home.

You will also be sent a certificate of sponsorship that you are able to download and print yourself!

Wonderful Wes has a heart as big as his smile! Wes would be so grateful for sponsorship to not only fund his love for treats but to help fund his daily care while he waits patiently for his forever home.

Little Bingo was found snuggled with his siblings in a remote area. He is now safe in our shelter but would love a sponsor to help care for him.

Addie and her sister Tilly have grown up in the shelter. This long legged duo is waiting patiently for a home of their own and daily walks to stretch their (very) long legs.

Our Mission

At Lucky's, we have always strived to be a responsible rescue who not only rescues, rehabilitates and rehomes dogs from Romania, but also works towards actively reducing the stray dog issue through spay and neuter campaigns across the country.

From the moment Lucky's began, we wanted to ensure that the dogs we took into our care were given the best medical treatment, good-quality food, enriching spaces to learn and had access to a variety of people through our overseas volunteer programme so that our dogs are as socialised as possible, prior to being assessed and rehomed.

Our goal is to get the rehoming of our dogs right first time. We want to ensure that when our dogs eventually travel home, whether that be directly from Romania or from one of our UK-based fosterers, it is for the rest of their life. This is achieved in two ways; thorough assessments of dogs prior to being matched to an adopter; and through an in-depth, three-stage home-checking process.

We want to be a shining example of overseas rescue done in the right way.
