Stoffel was found with his 5 siblings on the 25th March 2024 in a box by the 3 ponds near the shelter. They were dumped without their mum and left to fend for themselves. His sponsor named him in honour of their grandfather’s dog, who was also a Romanian Rescue and lived to a grand old age.

This little man is confident, happy and full of energy; just the combination you want to see in a puppy. He enjoys most things in life including the company of people, dogs, cats, treats and toys. 

He is the first on your lap when you sit on the floor and also the first to try and make his way into your treat pouch! But you can’t be mad at Stoffel, he has the purest puppy dog eyes and knows just how to use them.

It was lovely to see him away from the big group and in a smaller setting when his assessments were being completed and took no time at all in exploring the area; which included hopping on to the bean bag, running through the cat tunnel, paws up on the sofa and investigating the enrichment.

Although a little uncertain of the lead and harness initially he soon settled and enjoyed chasing toys, following us and working for food.

Stoffel will excel in a home where clear boundaries are set and training is at the forefront of each day, along with exercise and interaction with both people and dogs. Due to his energetic nature, we would prefer a home with slightly older children who are able to take instruction on the best way to interact with him.

We cannot wait to see the applications for Stoffel flood in! He really is a joy to be around.
