Arlo was found in a sorry state in a field not far from the shelter on 15 March 2024.  He was starving and had anaplasma and babesia.  However, this little man is a fighter and after receiving treatment, he has made a full recovery and is now looking for his forever home.

Arlo is an absolute firecracker.  He is a small dog with a larger than life character.  Arlo sees life at 100 miles an hour and you can’t help but smile when you look at him.  If you like small, fluffy dogs then this could be the man for you!

Arlo is a confident young boy that loves both humans and other dogs.  He just wants to be everyone’s best friend and it is hard to resist.  

Arlo has no fear when it comes to other dogs and is happy to socialise with dogs that are a similar size to him and those that are much bigger.  Due to his confident nature, he could live with or without another dog in the home, but he would certainly enjoy regular meet ups with other dogs.

Arlo is happy to be stroked and will give you little licks as you stroke his chin.  He is also happy being picked up and has no issues with you touching his paws.  He does jump up and this will be something that his adoptive family may need to work on.

Arlo was immediately confident when introduced to the lead and harness and was more than happy to explore new areas both on his own and with other dogs.  He takes new experiences in his stride and does not seem phased by anything!

Any family that is interested in Arlo will need to ensure that they channel his energetic nature into something he enjoys and make sure he is both mentally and physically stimulated. 

Arlo is the true definition of “great things come in small packages”.  Could you be the family to keep up with him?
