A LITTLE ABOUT PIPER

Piper was found with her 5 siblings on the 25th March 2024 in a box by the 3 ponds near the shelter. They were dumped without their mum and left to fend for themselves.

Sadly, while at the shelter, she contracted a tick-borne disease and became quite sick. At such a young and vulnerable age, this is always worrying but our little warrior fought back and is back to her fit, healthy and happy self with no lasting effects.

Piper may be small but she is large in personality which is just what you want in a pup!

She currently lives with her siblings and is the life and soul of the party. Her little puppy dog eyes light up when she spots you approaching the pen and she hops and skips around giving a little bark as you approach.

She isn’t the most confident of her litter and takes a step back to allow some of the more rambunctious of the group to say hello, but once you’re sat and settled, she will find her place on your lap (whether that be for cuddles, snacks or to steal your phone! She is definitely a selfie queen).

She enjoyed playing with toys and could be seen engaging in games of tug of war with her siblings. She has no qualms around sharing food, toys or people which was lovely to see. Little Piper does like using her voice and displays any frustration she has with a little bark but we know with the right guidance, this can be worked on. She is of course still very young and at the best stage for learning! Luckily, she will do just about anything for a treat, which will be useful in her training.

Her favourite thing to do while at the shelter was snuffling through the enrichment box we made and we think a home that can provide lots of sniffy walks, training and enrichment will make for a happy Piper!

She adapts quickly to new environments and so we feel that although she wouldn’t be suited to a busy city/town centre, a suburban home or quieter would be ideal for Piper.

We really hope Piper finds a loving home while still a young dog, she has so much potential and love to give.

If you think you have the love and patience required to be Piper’s perfect match, please complete our adoption form and express your interest in her today!
