A LITTLE ABOUT WILMA

Wilma was found with her puppies near the shelter in April 2022 and has been waiting for her home ever since. She was a nervous girl on arrival but soon blossomed into the wonderful, friendly girl we know today.

Wilma is a lovely, calm lady who loves human affection. She is friendly with dogs but is more human orientated so she would be suitable to be an only dog or to live with a calm, older dog.

She is a very gentle, quietly confident girl who will seek out human affection. Wilma walks amazingly on the lead and is happy to walk at her own pace to ensure she has enough time for lots of sniffs.

She gets along well with her pen mate and has no issue sharing high value treats with them. Although she is more confident than her pen mate, she never becomes over bearing when seeking human affection within their pen.

She is very neutral around other dogs and doesn’t seem to mind whether or not they’re around. Due to her more laid back nature, we believe she would suit someone without other dogs or with a calm, older dog. Wilma would be suited to most homes but we think she would prefer a quieter home where she can enjoy gentle walks and lots of time to relax.

One of the things our team did while out in Romania was create little human identities for all our rescues and this is a snippet of what we thought suited Wilma!

“Wilma is a retired university lecturer, she’s lived a long and fulfilling professional career and still likes to dip her toes into alumni events. She wears sensible low block heels, reminiscent of our late queen, a pearl necklace and carries a small but practical handbag.

She lives in a modest but comfortable cottage on the outskirts of London, has a vast library of books all of which she insists she’s read but will rapidly change the subject if asked any specific questions on them.

She’s polite and friendly to her neighbours and minds her own business but secretly hates the local cats pooing in her traditional cottage garden.”

We are looking for a home for Wilma who has a comfy spot on the sofa and will give her the attention and affection she deserves!

If you think you have the love and patience required to be Wilma’s perfect match, please complete our adoption form and express your interest in her today!
